FAQs
Answers to the questions we hear most often from Coquitlam homeowners, architects, and GCs on cable railings projects.
Coquitlam cable railing cost depends on post material, cable grade, linear footage, and whether the application is a straight deck run or a stair-mounted balustrade. Stair-mounted cable costs more per foot than straight deck runs because of the custom per-post fittings. Our Burnaby shop is 15 to 25 minutes up Lougheed Highway. Request a quote with your site dimensions and we'll follow up with project-specific pricing.

Older homes frequently replace original wood or wrought iron railings with cable systems as part of full interior and exterior renovations. The cable spec usually matches modern updated interior palettes. Project scope varies with linear footage and site access conditions.
316 stainless cables are recommended for longevity in any Metro Vancouver climate, including Coquitlam. The region's wet climate would cause rust-staining on 304 stainless within 2 to 5 years. 316 grade handles decades without corrosion.
