Project overview
Steel that keeps a wood-frame schedule moving
Most multi-family construction in the Fraser Valley is wood-frame, but the steel inside it does the heavy lifting: transfer members over openings, structural posts, and steel that carries loads where wood cannot.
Steel on a multi-family site lives inside someone else's schedule. The framing crew needs the steel in place before they can close floors, so fabrication, delivery, and crane time have to land in step with the framer, not after them. Our shop drawings were coordinated against the structural drawings, members were fabricated in Burnaby, and our crew erected in sequence with the build.
Langley and the Fraser Valley are building at a pace that keeps this kind of scope steady, and it is exactly the work our shop is set up for: clean fabrication, dependable delivery, and field crews that respect the schedule of every other trade on site.
- Shop drawings coordinated against the structural set
- C.W.B. certified fabrication to CSA W47.1 in Burnaby
- Delivery and erection sequenced with the framing crew
